Shenzhen University — First Affiliated Hospital since 2008

Founded 1979Futian

Overview

Founded in 1979 by construction troops stationed in Shenzhen, and known for burns, trauma emergency care and nursing. It houses the Shenzhen Emergency Center (深圳市急救中心) on its campus, and has Shenzhen's first hospital helipad, on the 23-storey inpatient tower completed in 2000. Rated Grade III-A in 1996, it became the First Affiliated Hospital of Shenzhen University in 2008 and entered the ESI top 1% for clinical medicine in January 2019.

For an international patient the relevant point is the Shenzhen Emergency Center: this is where major trauma and emergency cases in central Shenzhen are stabilised. The hospital's own department index names no international unit, and its English site carries no international service page either.

Positions and grades as published, with the source and year attached.

We have not yet published specialty ranking positions for this hospital. We will add them as we complete the verification pass rather than estimate.

This hospital holds a provincially designated Grade III-A, awarded by the province rather than nationally. It is a real designation and a good sign, but it is not the same award as a national Grade III-A, and the two are printed identically on most English hospital listings.

Named clinicians

Which clinicians here actually take international patients — and which are simply senior specialists at a hospital that has an international department.

We do not have this detail for this hospital yet. It is not a subscription item — we simply have not verified it, and we would rather say so than sell you an empty section. How we handle gaps.

Cost guidance

Fee figures appear here only where the hospital publishes them. A published price is a price line, never the whole invoice — always confirm a quote directly.

Sources and verification

Every official channel this hospital's information was read from, or can be checked against. Verified means we fetched the link ourselves and confirmed it is this hospital's own page.

  • Official websiteVerified
    www.szrch.com.cn/ · Open ↗

Verified 2026-10-24: the previous domain (www.szrch.com) no longer exists -- Google and AliDNS both answer NXDOMAIN. The old address now carries the hospital's own notice that the official site has adopted the new domain www.szrch.com.cn, and the site answers there. Its HTTPS is broken (the server offers an ECDHE curve that fails the handshake), so the address is published as plain HTTP.

  • Contact page on the hospital's own siteVerified
    www.szrch.com.cn/ · Open ↗

The address published here was read from the hospital's own pages. The page that carries it could not be identified from here -- the site renders its contact block with script -- so this row points at the hospital's own site, which is where the address came from.
