A patient who cannot be answered in their own language does not need the best hospital in China — they need one that will talk to them. These are the hospitals whose own pages name an international unit, with the page we read and the date we read it.

How this list was made

We read each hospital's own pages, including the page where it lists its departments, and looked for a named unit — 国际部, an International Medical Center, a VIP clinic. A hospital is on the first list only because its own site names one; the link and the date beside each entry are the page we read. "We read the pages and found none" and "we could not read the pages" are different facts, so they are two different lists.

54 hospitals we checked publish no international unit

We read these hospitals' own department pages and they name no such unit. That is a finding about the pages, not a judgement about the hospital: a strong hospital without an international department is still a strong hospital, and you should expect to arrange translation, scheduling and payment yourself.
